#PhotogFeature will appear on Cold Tea Collective every other Friday, putting a focus on Asian photographers from around the world who inspire us. As fellow Asian creatives, we want to showcase our favourite photographers, artists, cinematographers, and those in the creative space.
This week’s feature is on photography using film — an art that has recently been back in the limelight. And for younger fans of Stranger Things, welcome to the world of dark rooms.
If you know a creative photographer you feel should be featured, reach out to us at info@coldteacollective.com
Phoebe Wong – @pho.oebe
Since moving to Vancouver from Hong Kong five years ago, Wong’s work runs the gamut from fashion, portraiture, architecture, street, to fine art photography.
“I mostly focus on how lighting, shadows, and composition can create stories and emotions,” she said.
Nirav Patel – @niravphotography
“Creating imagery is the only way I’ve ever known how to share my story with others,” Patel wrote on his website.
Specializing in fine art portraits, the San Francisco-based photographer’s work invokes a heavy sense of nostalgia through the use of immaculate lighting and composition.
Johnny Yi – @stronaut
“The medium is the message.” Yi’s feed is life through the eye of the Taipei photographer, done in analogue.
